Oh, yeah, but you could get a good view of the backyard comings and goings of your neighbours! it looks a bit like the view from my window when I lived in England.

I really don't know. Those were there when we got here and we didn't even think of getting them off. Maybe because of squirrels... ?

each sight is different, and holds it is not so badly. You could just have buildings opposite at home ;O)
