I like the paper that the food's being served on! hehe..

I have not had any french toast for the longest time.

Looking at everyone's photos, it makes me wanna eat all the food I have missed for a long long time.

Happy Theme Day!

Oh, yes...I like French toast as a treat. But not drowned in syrup as some people prefer - just plain with some fruit on the side perhaps!

Mmmmm.

Love seeing your Montreal breakfast! for years I made kid breakfasts of French toast (egg batter-soaked bread pan fried and topped with powdered sugar or maple syrup. I love the place mat below the glass plate. Great photo, and very Montreal in spirit.

My husband is from Montreal and NOW I get why he loves french toast so much! Thanks - I had no idea pain dore was a "typical" Quebec breakfast.

Pain doré ("golden bread") is a cute name for it. I like it much better than "French toast"

Your typical Montreal breakfast is FRENCH toast?

Actually, I like pain doré (pan dorado o tostado) so long I can have it with a cup of coffee.

I can't believe I'd been through some 30+ breakfasts and didn't realize that the french toast hadn't made an appearance! I like french toast, haven't had any in a while. -- I like your background too. :-)
